Man I feel great. So much adrenaline. I'm so lucky to live so close. I frequently go up there on weekdays at sunrise/sunset in the camaro but the past few times I've taken the Evo. Unfortunately I've lost 3 friends up on the crest to accidents on motorcycles. Makes me cautious. I thought I took pictures of my car at a turn-off with LA in the background but I guess I took a panorama instead.

The tarmac was so freaking sticky it was AMAZING to drive on. Although lots of gravel from people coming on from turnoffs etc. Don't go up there without radar or even laser protection. I've been lasered a couple of times as its in my back yard and I drive up there a lot. Luckily I have ZR4 Escort jamming. Ebrake to slow down and then turn off the jamming. Sometimes it picks up the laser before a turn.

Always do other drivers coming the opposite way the courtesy of notifying them of rangers by flashing your brights if you can.

Lots of bikes and only 2 rangers. Spotted this amazing MG roadster on the way up and caught him on the way down. I ran through an ENTIRE TANK of gas from the bottom to the top. Man our cars suck down gas when pushed.

The AWD system really is cheating :) I was BLOWN AWAY by some of the things the car allowed me to do in some sections that I'm literally drifting through with RWD it really shined. Its days like this I'm reminded why I've always wanted an Evo.

And now I have one! Best buy I've made in my 34 years on this planet. I love this car.

The tarmac was so fresh I'd say maybe they finished the past week? Its unbelievable!

MG roadster the same colors as my continental. Passed him flying on the way up and caught up cruising on the way down with 5 gallons of fuel left! It was restored 10 years ago. Very nice guy and he was enjoying the drive. Drove all the way from palmdale? my memory is failing me as usual.

PS, I'll post video of some 'brisk' driving if you guys want. is that allowed on this forum?
No speeding, drifting or MPH display on the video I 'swear'! :) It only has RPM, Boost, intake temp and Altitude gauges. Putting it together now and cutting out the BS.

cheers.

I'll compose the video and post them. When I see 40mph speed signs I say "Oh wonderful I'm only doing" 45 when the radar detectors saying "Speed alert, please slow down" haha.
