Just got tuned by Naji on 91 and e85. Last month was the 91 tune and the weather was terrible over 80F and crazy humid! Probably woulda made more on better weather made 306whp/275wtq.

Last week was another story, nice 75F weather and tuning was a breeze besides my licp pipe blowing off.....made 392whp/373wtq.

Really happy with the results and now a blast to drive especially on e85. But I'm kinda scared of flooring it until I fix my licp blowing off! (It's a ETS licp btw in stock intercooler)

And are you using t-bolt clamps, better then those other crapy clamps.

Jerry321

Well I went to RRE they recommended their heavy duty worm clamps, they really tighten real good but I think the problem lies with the stock rubber hose.

The tbolt clamps help big time... i have the stock lower silicone with tbolt clamps on it and it never has blown off. Even with 28-30psi on e85. Look up the cajun power tbolt clamp kit. It comes with every one you need and its cheap!

Hmm...I'll have to buy. T-bolt clamp for the licp then since I already bought heavy duty clamps from RRE for the rest. They mentioned that t-bolt clamps don't make a perfect circle seal on the hose; it leaves a gap on one side of it.

So yours hasn't blown off in 30psi? I'm at 28 peak, is yours a ETS licp?

Also how much is tight enough?

Yea I've had the muse, ets, and nisei licp... My 9 had no issues blowing off at 30psi and my 8 has none at 28psi. You will know when it's tight enough lol... Is your ic pipe smooth? By that I mean is there a spot where the clamp would catch it? I forgot what it's called when they manufacture pipes with it lol... It's like a bump around the pipe haha

Beaded was the term I was looking for... If the piping isn't beaded at the ends you will have issues with it popping off regardless of the clamp you use.

It's a ETS beaded pipe. The reason I ask about how tight is some people say don't tighten too
much, but I don't want to bend the pipe. Also I noticed the silicone hose has an awkward angle when it sits in the pipe. Maybe an ETS intercooler should be my next purchase.

lol. this may make you sad :grumpy: but still good numbers for your mods

but for me when tightening my t bolt clamps i spray the out side of the coupler with some meguairs quick detail spray, so it dosent grip the silicone when tightening.

and if your having issues with blowing off your piping then just spray a lil hair spray on the piping before installing.but let it sit for some time before boosting.

I'll try the spray thing.

About the dyno, I though naji had his numbers +/- 5 hp? That's what a few people on here said...

dyno is just numbers. In my opinion if you were tuned on a dyno than thats cool. Naji tuned it so you know its good.

T-bolt clamps, hair spray, not even spray glue worked for me. Mauricio from Massimo Power had to modify my LICP so that it had a wider flange/bead.

I have heavy duty worm clamps from RRE and so far it hasn't popped off since my tune. So I'm staying optimistic. Only done like 4 or 5 short WOT accelerations.

T bolt clamps are good enough. Since I've had them I have never had my licp pop off on me or any issues with them. Everytime I do a oil change or tune up or even anytime I pop my hood I check my clamps to see if they need to be tighten some more and every great wile they need a quarter turn if That. I'm sure those rre clamps are great but I have never had issues with t- bolt clamps.

Jerry321

^ ill def check them more often, I took the little plastic cover that's under the licp just so I have quick access to it.
