    Driving the Last Brand-New Mitsubishi Evo to its Grave

    Mitsubishi was forced to send this preproduction 2015 Lancer Evolution Final Edition to the crusher. We gave it one last ride.

      That's pretty sad. Couldn't they somehow assign a VIN and get by the government regulation? I miss my X.

      The auto tech school I went to had a number of cars like this donated by various automakers. We couldn't drive them. Then you unleash a team of post high school guys on these things like hungry piranha. It was like purgatory for these cars lol.
      It's pretty commonplace for this to happen. A lot of the factory backed race cars meet their maker in a similar way.
