Works for me
I caught up to a WW X plate 6UEG307 I think it was coming down Angeles Crest Highway tonight. You were riding behind an STi hatch and pulled off with a group of others.
Both dates are good for me still.
Yep, as far as I know I'm the only Evo that has shown up. It's usually a bunch of FRS/BRZ's, Miatas, and a couple WRX and STI's.
I've never actually been to MOD, it always seems to conflict with work trips or vacations. There are still meets happening weekly, just not Evo specific. There's a group I've been trying to meet up...
I'd also be down, May seems like I'll have a couple weekends free.
I'm not the original owner, but close enough. My brother was the original owner and then I bought it off him in '09 with 96k on the clock. I think now I have 127k on it, I only really drive the car...
I'll be there with mine too depending on when we do this.
Hey stranger, actually on the boards more often again? haha
I didn't know that with the X turbo. There wasn't too much more that could be done for the VIII or IX I thought to keep boost flat out to redline. I guess with the IX turbo it wouldn't drop off as...
That's true with the 7/8/9 as well, the turbos really seem to die in power after about 6krpms. Not sure how well just a tune will be able to dial out some of that, the surefire method is a bigger...
Very cool, my brother had a 1g Talon which is what got me into DSMs and then Evos. Yours looks a lot cleaner than his ever did.
Thanks, I would have stayed with it too if I hadn't been bitten with the bug to change to Evo 7 look.
I loved it when I had the 8 front on mine. I'm not a bodyshop wizard, so I had the place I took it to follow this on EvoM and it came out awesome...
Welcome fellow Apex Silver Evo owner. It's not so busy around here vs. Facebook groups, but myself and others do lurk and post through here occasionally.
I need to wash my car, but it is at least finally back and running. Well minus the low rpm speed density jitter issue that needs to get ironed out.
Agreed, and a shop's quality can change over time due to a number of factors.
I think 3 or 4 weeks now, I had some issues with the install of my refreshed transmission and transfer case and since it was down for that I figured it was the time to send my turbo into FP to be...
A weekend would likely work for me, just hoping I have the Evo back sometime soon.
I'd be down to show up for a meet, though I'm guessing for most of us here the hard part will be finding a time that works for the majority. I've occasionally been showing up to the ones on Tuesday...
With no rebuilds and on upgraded power?
Completely agree, I think FB has had a big impact on lots of forums, which sucks since it's a terrible platform for keeping track of threads or finding old information from groups.
I've never been to the United Station. I'll have to check it out once my Evo is back.
:hippie:
Just need some stations closer to DTLA now
Never had that issue back on my Audi with them, at least I think I used the hp+. If you bed the pads well the squealing goes should be reduced or go away.
