This is the backside of GMR. Its only about a third of the whole run. You can use Google Earth to give you an aireal view. Almost impossible to memorize unless you are a local and go up there a lot....
Good point about the throttle. You can actually hear the RPM's drop.
This was actually my fifth Track Event. So I had some experience. I remember oversteering to avoid the ouside of the track as my tires were getting worse each lap. I definitely didn't let go of the...
Dashview board of my 2003 evo chasing an 2004 STi which had about a ten second lead. It took about 7 laps to catch him. Both cars were stock. This was last year at the California Speedway.

Go to tirerack.com and look in the review section.
For the money, I recommend Goodyear Eagle F1 DSW3 especially in the wet weather
I recommend a set of Goodyear Eagle F-1 DSW3 for serious driving in the rain. Believe the Reviews that these tires are the best rain tires- They have unbelievable wet traction. Pretty fun driving...
My car had been shot with Bibi pellets. $1200 dolloars in damages. I know how you feel, and it is very frustrating. My advise to you is to stop thinkiing about it-It'll just drive you crazy.
I think i'll go spend the $ 5.00 and grab the issue during lunch tomorrow. I can say to my friends...yeah I reced that car on GMR. Good job Robi. for setting another standard for the evo. ...
How were able to get 40,000 miles already? I had my car since march of last year, and I drive quite a lot, and I'm at 38,500-Guilty pleasure. Robi and I will be joining the 40,000 miles club...

If it were only Sti's, then it shouldn't be a problem. But if you include all impreza's...then we are outnumbered 10 to 1 and we are going to get slaughtered... and we might have to call the Lancer...
That was sweet. 8)
Artic Sheets and Fields of Wheat, I can't stop coming down.

This only applies to NA cars. Remember the evo has 19 PSI of boost-you will not be generating any turbo boost by holding the throttle steady. This is the reason that you repeat reving the throttle...
My friend who attended Skip Barber Drag School taught me how to launch an AWD car.
A good launch requires timing of the turbo and the release of the clutch.
1. Depress clutch entirely, and...
I like to think that the whole incident with Robi's post was a simple mistake. It is the integrity of socalevo admins to prevent this from happening again. As for Robi, he is a great asset to...
they (as in mitsu) won the drivers championship 3 years in a row (i think with makinen), subaru won three factory titles in a row in the late 90s, and solberg won the drivers championship last year...
Tell your dad....Thank You. He is a very good asset to EOC. I learned a lot from him, and I hope to see him at future EOC events.
Think everyone had a good time, and that is a success in itself. It is an added bonus that everyone got instruction from a great bunch experienced drivers.
But I do have some minor suggestions...
It was a really good vibe to see 30 plus Evo's on the track. It was one of the reasons that made it my best track event to date-ample track time, professional instruction, great comraderie, and very...
