My friend had this sound on his X upon deceleration. It was his transfer case. I really recommend you change your Transfer case fluids ASAP and see what it looks like and put some fresh fluids in....

I've had that issue with reverse. You need to adjust your clutch pedal again. Sometimes it helps if you need to go into reverse, throw it in first real quick and then reverse.
