Ha! well if it's any consolation, I took my sweet time. I'm 36 and many of our friends have older kids.
Has the RS been reliable, still enjoying it?

Thanks Nick. Still got your Focus RS? How’s it been?
I bought my last s2k in Chicago and did the reverse...stopped in Denver the 1st night and then went on to SoCal. Some great scenery in CO and UT. Thats cool you got to hit a meet!
My son is here...
The 71HTA is an awesome little turbo, been very happy with mine. You could cruise around off boost and be ok but I wouldn’t go smashing around at WOT without retuning.
They are worth good money...
Good to see some activity on here lol.
Azian did you end up in PA?
We are about 40 miles North of Seattle, and the cost of living is not really much better. It is really nice up here this time...
Hell yeah Azian, looks nice. Dem brakes.
Got my little exhaust leak handled long ago. Just been driving the car and enjoying it. Switching from dual map to flex fuel here soon, since the E blend...
Congratulations on finally getting that Evo so many years later. I can relate!
As nicklulu mentioned, not so much activity here on SCE these days. I find myself on evom a lot now.
In any...
Is she doing OK?
I've had a teeny tiny exhaust leak at the o2/DP connection. Like, tiny. But enough that I know about it, and it's annoying, so i've been grappling with that. So far i've only...
what's up Oceanside! I don't think i've seen you since I moved back down to North County. But then again, I don't drive mine all that much either. Try to rack up the miles on my cheap old Honda haha.
^ At first I was turned off by the styling.
When I started seeing the real performance of the car I changed my mind. It's an incredible car.
Bummer. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did though!
I don't believe your ASC and its related systems have anything to do with your clutch hydraulics. I'm betting this is purely coincidental.
Yeah I would start with replacing that purge valve line that connects to the intake manifold. If it's cracked or damaged or otherwise has lost its integrity, that would explain the low vacuum.
Hey, welcome. Not as much activity these days but some guys still come online and poke around pretty often.
Yeah, I hear you. Cars don't like to sit. What do you have going on?
A friend of mine is using 18x9.5 +25 w/ 265 width tire. He uses the car at the track and on the street, and definitely puts it through its paces. He has not had any problems and did not roll his...
I'd probably look at 18 x 9.5. A 255 is going to work even better on that width and the X has the room to fit the 9.5 pretty easily.
For offset I would look at a +25 or +30, somewhere in there. ...
I'm impressed by your dedication. Both the long term ownership and going the distance to get that car going at no small expense. VERY cool.
Are you finding some fun things to do with the car over...
^ How's the car doing? Start a thread...?
empunker, i'm assuming you saw that GG IX in the vehicles FS section on here?
There was a little revival a few months back. I haven't been keeping tabs by the FB group has some activity now and then.
This thing gives me heartburn just looking at it. Would make a great rally car though.
What a gem! Don't find em like this too often.

The auto tech school I went to had a number of cars like this donated by various automakers. We couldn't drive them. Then you unleash a team of post high school guys on these things like hungry...
The internet kind of lost their minds on this one, but the <95db requirement really isn't anything new. The consequences are mainly what is new here.
Pretty good summary:...
Good to see some life around here. OP, any plans to track down another Evo?
I plan to keep mine around a long, long time. Even when humans are rarely operating vehicles on the street for commuting...
