Did you ever get the answer?
Because the 272/272 will give you a larger power increase than the 264/272 combination.

i prefer to think of it as, there's nothing you can do with the 264 combo that you can't do with te 272s straight up.

Does anyone have Stage 1 installed on a 9...I am looking overall for about 330-350....and also what the price of the package is...I am in the process of debating what I want...

    Re: dr gray special definitions

Basic stage 1 setup on a 9 nets around 330awhp. Basically around 20-30awhp more than the 8.

The stage 1 with a HKS 280 exhaust cam and adjustable cam gear (stage 1+ for 9s) works out to around 350awhp.

I am pretty sure that you get them all together...You can have injectors without a tune....blah blah...plus it is much more convenient to either buy a stage or gather all your parts and get tuned at once...instead of at each little step...I am interested in this 1+ using the Crower 272's...

VIII (with 9.8 hot side) 310-330whp
VIII (with 10.5 hot side) 320-345whp
IX's i believe with similar mods (1 exhaust cam) around 340-350whp...

that was with stage 1+ the 264/272 hks cams but not rally cat, only high flow cat. they said @ 5-10 whp more with the rally cat.

    Re: dr gray special definitions

i cleaned this thread up, if you feel that your banter was wrongfully deleted then i'm sorry, this thread will from now on only be for identifying what the stages are and their possible horsepower aspirations.

there likely will not be prices posted because there is no set product line, everyone wants something different. best bet is to CALL ROADRACE, they don't like forumboardland as they're always poking fun at it. just call them.

    Scot-
what different results have you seen amoung the stages (including the stage 1 or 1+) with an SAFC vs EMS ... ?

    Re: dr gray special definitions

The higher the stage the more of an advantage the EMS is for power. I don't recommend the EMS for a stage 1, but with the Stage 2+ and higher the EMS is good for an additional 50-100 HP depending on the setup.
