NECRO BUMPAGE!!!!!!!! but I am at work, so I'll bite..
I tried a different method for bedding in my new pads and rotors this time based on some advice from Elvis at FF Wheels who drives a ralliart sportback and has had EVOs before.
Since I live in LA, I just drove on my new pads and rotors for around 250 miles or so before I will go to the track next weekend.Â* Since traffic is so stop and go, I just did this and everything seems good to me.Â* I did a couple quick stops and a couple hard brakes but otherwise, I just drove up and down the 101 to work and back 2 times a week in the EVO for 4 weeks (25 miles each way) + a little bit of going here and there driving, and then the weekend after this one coming up, I am going to the track.
My brakes feel good.Â* I will check them carefully before I go to the track but it seems like there is a deep level of theorizing on bedding in pads that will mostly see street driving action in any case.Â* These theories remind me of the similar Engine Breaking In theories...
