Meet and Event Guidelines for all Meets

    These are general guidelines:

    1. Sanctioned events will have a post in the thread by one of the SoCalEvo.Net moderators saying it is a sanctioned event. Otherwise, it is not a sanctioned event.

    2. Please restrict your replies and posts to meet and event specific posts. Flames and unrelated posts will get your ass kicked by an admin and have your posts deleted.

    3. DO NOT POST items such as illegal activites. We do not condone illegal street racing or otherwise any illegal street activity.

    4. Unauthorized vendors who post events such as ECU reflashes or parts installs as an event will be DELETED. Please contact an admin about commercial events.

    5. Motorsports activity and track days, HPDE, should be posted in the Motorsports forum section.

Meet and Event Guidelines for all Meets

Adapted from a few auto forums and I think should be a guide for all Socalevo meets - both official and unofficial:

    Everyone...

We need to lay down some basic rules for our get togethers.

    1. Please do not do any burnouts, engine revving, donuts, or displays of speed in public parking lots.

This can cause the police to show up and ruin our meets.
This is also for safety. While you feel you are under control, anything can happen, and we do not want anyone to be hurt.

And please clean up after yourselves. don't leave trash around. we are all supposed to be grown ups.

    2. Respect other people's cars and property.

This includes leaning or sitting on cars, opening cars to look inside, or touching engine/stereo components if they have left their hood/trunk open for people to look.

This by far should be respected at all times. no putting of other items on other people's cars nor folding their mirrors/wipers. Not everyone has the same sense of humor. Treat everyone's car as if it was more expensive than anything else you have laid eyes on.

    3. Please try to obey traffic laws while on a 'cruise' or 'caravan'.

While it is fun to show off a little of what your car has under the hood, that is not what a cruise/caravan is about.
It will draw unwanted attention in the way of local police, and the cruise can be ruined because of it.

    4. Use common sense.

When you come to one of our meets, just use your head, and don't do anything stupid!

Thanks everyone, and see you at the next meet!

If you see anything that needs to be added or changed, please PM me.

*I know this may or may not apply, depending on the location and size of the meet, but a few safety tips can only do good things.
