The 76 at I-5 and Lapaz sells 100
I bought 5 gals of vp 103 today at this 76. Way, way too expensive. I'm embarassed to say I paid $8.10 a gal . I just didn't feel like switching back to 91 yet.Originally Posted by Gear Grinder

I am sorry I posted this place. I got in to a fight with these guys this weekend. First they wouldnt let me in the back to see what fuel they had. When they couldn't find what I asked for, I had to go back there anyway. Second, they couldn't find anything to put it in, so the guy started to put it in a 1gal water jug. He wanted to transfer the fuel one gallon at a time to my car? Third, they are way over priced. Even the F&L they are selling for over $7 a gal.Originally Posted by Gear Grinder

Alliance Gas Station carries 101 octane they have a few location in the valley Evo's supposed to be running on 93octane so do half on the 101 and half of the 91 and it will balance out like 93octane =)

what octane is ideal? :?:
RRE Stage 1+ eleventeen Dr. Gray Empty Stomach Tune
Ideally? that is going to depend on how much power you want to make, what you are tuned for and how much boost you are running. Generally, the higher the boost, the more octane needed to prevent knocking. I think I read somwhere that stock ECUs on the Evo will not benefit from anything higher than 94 octane.

that 76 in pasadena (at end of arroyo freeway) sells 92 (and 100 of course).. call me crazy, but i really feel a difference between 91 and 92, and honestly i don't need 100 (and it wasn't that much different than 92 other than being expensive as sh**; stock evo here btw)..
i'm in torrance though.. anyone know of a gas station that sells 92 in torrance, or at least closer to torrance than pasadena?
thx in advance..
it's under octane requirements, page 1-2:it says that you can use "87 or 91 oct temporaraly", but "the performance level may be reduced."Originally Posted by IH8VTEC
