Best Street Tires These Days? -- Coming from Bridgestone RE-11

Hey guys, I got about 40-50k miles on my RE-11s and was very happy with them but figured I'd reach out since I haven't done any research or really been active in the scene for the past few years.

I remember a lot of people used to run the Dunlop Z1 Star Specs and see those have been phased out/replaced by the ZII now, are they any good?

At this point I'm leaning toward getting another set of RE-11s because I'm used to them and thought they were great but I am totally open to suggestions. What do you all think?

Ive had RS3 found them too sticky for daily driving and I drive roughly 600 miles a week give or take.
I love mt NT05's from what I've read is that they are just as good as the re11 but don't last as long but I could be wrong.
From my own personal experience with them, I absolutely love them for daily driving. I've also wanted to try a few other tires like the Federal RSR and the
Yokohama ad08's but I aint baller enough and end up crawling back to the nto5's and refalling in love with them.

Depends on how hard you drive or plan to drive (also if you plan to do some track days on the same tires)

Here's my person break down, some may agree, some may not.

NT05 - good overall street tire
g-Force Sport - good overall street tire
    Federal 595RSR - stickier for daily/track
AD08 - great sticky tire for daily/track - cost more
Michelin Pilot Super Sport - great sticky tire for daily/track - cost more
R888 - good for dry/track - daily if you need the traction - cost more
Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 - f*ckin amazing tires - cost more

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I forgot to mention these are mainly for street use with the occasional canyon/track day thrown in, but I think you all probably gathered that much from the mileage I got on my RE-11s.

I do tend to drive pretty hard when I want to but that's not to say I'm driving balls out ALL the time. Sadly, most of my driving these days is to and from work which sometimes includes traffic.

Kambodian, where do you think RE-11s and Star Specs/ZIIs fit on that list?

Federal rsr last for ever and are great overall tires. I've also tried Starspec and I loved them but then again those don't last long like nt05. If u have the funds to go with ado8 I recommend u try them. I have a set on my car now and i love them :). Everyone I've talk to that's ran them before will also tell u the same.

RE-11 and StarSpec would be around with the g-Force Sport. Which seems you are just looking for some daily spirited driving tires. You could also consider the newer v12 version 2, I think those are stickier than the originals.

What kind of longevity are you seeing on the AD08s? Think they'll last even half as long as my RE-11s did?

edit: according to 1010tires they actually have a .1 better tread wear rating than the RE-11s (3.7 vs 3.8) but based on some reviews I've read I'm having a hard time believing it. Can anyone attest?

Not sure if they would last that long. I guess it all depends how u drive.

Yeah I have a feeling the main reason I got so many miles on my RE-11s is because half or more was long distance freeway driving between northern and southern Cali. I am really tempted by the RD08s...

Where do you guys prefer to get tires in the LA area? Order online and then get them installed or go straight to a tire place?

If you drive your evo like you stole it everyday, I doubt it'll last more than 15k miles, then again, that's with proper rotations and alignment.
