    well basically they sent a tranny they had out while i still drove on mine and then they installed the one that came back from sheperd and gave them my old tranny so iono why it cost $1600 plus like $800 in labor

    stuff like this makes me miss my evo like CRAZY

    i have a grinding 5th gear in my 05 sti 6spd, and just pulling the tranny from car, opening up the tranny, and replacing ONLY 5th gear/5th synchro/hub = $850. and that is supposedly a "deal" too. 3 shops quoted me $2000 for the same job lol

    sorry just wanted to get that outta the way, and let u guys know u Evo guys have it really easy when it comes to tranny work :D

    yah and the problem is now that MY FUCKEN 5th GEAR IS GRINDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!in my BRAND NEW Sheperd tranny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and i havent even shifted hard in it or anything yet.im fucken pissed....$2500 down the drain..............

    I bought mine from another member with my tranny as part of the deal. It had all the usual stage 1:::

    New 3rd gear synchro
    New 1-2 shifting sleeve
    New 2nd gear synchro
    New 1st gear synchro
    New 4th gear synchro
    New 3-4 shifting sleeve
    New 5th gear synchro
    New 5-R shifting sleeve
    New seals , shims and snap rings
    New 3-4 fork
    New input shaft bearings
    New high strength roll pins
    New Reverse synchro
    New 1,2,3,4,5,R synchro springs
    Neodymium magnet

    Plus a little something "fancy" as an extra :-)
