Thread: Evo powered WRX fighter Hatch!?

    Evo powered WRX fighter Hatch!?

I just saw this on autoblog. It is powered by the same evo drivetrain used in the upcoming ralliart lancer, but in a ugly hatch body. Check it out:

Looks like an answer to a question no one asked.

Where the hell is a decent coupe?! Thats what I would like to see. As it is one of my Wish lists for the "If I win the lotto game" is to put the Evo engine drivetrain into a redone 2nd gen eclipse because mitsu cant give us a coupe....

Man wassup with Mitsubishi now?* I mean evo X's ass look pretty much the same as Lexus IS and now this?* Can anyone tell me who copy who? I am not saying Mits is coming out with bad looking cars, its just weird that they look so much alike with other cars.

Re: Evo powered WRX fighter Hatch!?

This is not a wagon. It is a 5 door hatch like the STi, but uglier. In order for it to be considered a wagon it needs windows behind the rear passenger door. Given how it is shaped it does not appear to have any more trunk space than the sedan. This is designed to compete with the BMW 1 series 5 door, Audi A3 5 door, GTI 5 door, etc... that make up a pretty large number of car sales in Europe.

not a wagon it needs to have a window behind the rear doors to be a wagon. Would you consider a 4 door GTI a wagon or a hatchback?

    Wagon.

A hatchback is just a short wagon.

The WRX wagon is a wagon.

The new STI is a wagon

The Dodge magnum is a wagon

This mitsu thingy is a wagon.

    /story.

    5 door Hatch-Back:

    Wagon:

Notice the window behind the rear door and the fact that there is actually space behind the rear seat versus the gti which has more of a trunk. Also you may note that manufacturers refer to the new STi and WRX strictly as a 5 door where as the pervious wrx was called a wagon.
