Paint Damage HELP! Any good shops in West LA?

Hi guys, does anybody know any good shops in West LA where i can get some big scratches fixed? One of the people in my apartment complex let his drunk buddy back out his car out of the parking space and scraped up my car. I'm so pissed right now!

if he scrapped his paint on yours and its a little scratch
rubbing compound then glaze + wax should work

not a little scratch. a BIG scratch and scuff marks all over the rear quarter on the passenger side.

So i took my car to this place called Golden Hammer in west LA. the paint job was fantastic. like it never happened. But upon closer inspection, the taillight on the same side the damage occurred (the passenger side) does not sit completely flush with the car. I pointed it out to the guy and he removed it and nothing looked out of the ordinary. there's 2 pins on the back of the light that get inserted into the car and it can only go in so far. Pushed it in all the way and it still didn't look right. He said it may have been that way the whole time and i never noticed it until now. I feel kind of weird about it.

yeah, he was real cool about it and paid for the damage and my rental car fee real quick.

yea i have ix tails on my viii and they have never set flush but im not sure if you have the same setup or not...i never noticed if my viii tails set flush either... kinda bugs me every now and again but i just ignore it. - RJ

thanks, i was wondering if it was just me or not. I couldn't remember if it was already that way before i left it at the shop or not so i could only complain about it so much.

I guess i give golden hammer in west la a good review then since the paint work was excellent. Kind of pricey though.

The 2 pins(plugs) were they attached to the lights still when you pulled the lights off and tried to readjust?

They will need to be removed and re-installed back in their holes(trunk holes) before inserting the tail lights back on. Try using some man power and pull them off. If that doesn't work they can be carefully pried off with a flat head screwdriver.

i got my bumper painted at northridge auto body works. they were quick and offered good prices. this was just paint though... no body work.

quality was good... paint matched up perfectly to my car. :)

yeah, they charged a grip, but i wasn't paying and it's close to my pad and they have a AAA rating on the BBB so i decided to go with them.
