Here is some data on weights of liquids According to the link one gallon of e85 weighs 6.59 lbs. multiply that by 14 gallons and you get 92.4 pounds. lol i was commenting when lifted it out of the trunk that it was like 100 pounds. The sad part is the tank must be higher than fill port to use siphon feature and your hand gets tired pumping that fuel without siphon via that handle. I fill up the flo-n-go then siphon off to 5 gallon jug for faster filling. I found a small battery operated fuel pump that I haven't bought yet to allow pumping straight from the flo-n-go to the gas tank. It's like 15$

    e85 is the shiznit O0

If you get that fuel pump working, please pm me with the setup. I used your idea for the Flo and Go so thanks a ton for that!

I'm also thinking about setting up a bleeder valve for swapping from E85 to 91 when necessary...which may be never, but it would be pretty easy to do and ensure that all the E85 was out prior to popping my switch

All gasoline contains ethanol. If you are careful and just run it until it's just about empty I don't think it will be a problem.
I just went and filled up on E-85 yesterday...at 2.85 I might add 13.6 gallons in the car and 20+ gallons in my 4 containers I have. I drove "so-so" the first few miles....and then when I was close to home

I agree, but 10% and 85% are far form close, so I would prefer to be safe...of course, I never expect to run 91, but paying a few dollars for a valve and a little extra fuel line seem worth it.

I think the 1st IE fuelling station is open in Perris, but I could nto tell for sure when I flew by yesterday. Ill go check it out today and report back on page 1

Shitty? Since you are pumping approx. 30% more volume it will be between 15% and 30% less mpg than you get now. If you are total econo drive mode then the difference might be lless. The way i look at it is even with my 10-12.5 mpg at $3.00 a gallon I'm still saving versus 100 octane race gas or aviation fuel for that matter.

Actually I am getting between 15-17mpg and have gotten a minimum of 200 miles on each of my first two full tanks. Both times my light had just turned orange (Need fuel) and the secodn time I had filled up, then fileld up again to monitor the actual fuel consumption. On that tank I got 16.8 mpg

Better than I though to be honest.

I met the owner of the Carlsbad E-85 station the other day while I was refueling and he mentioned that his E-85 prices will be coming down a dime, so 2.89. Can't beat that.

Go WOT a lot and see what happens I swear I got like 7mpg the first night I got my tune. My Hubby and I live about 8miles from RRE... when I got home my car was down 1/4 of a tank Scot has told me he averages like 3mpg at SOW

this is starting to remind me back to my old v8 days with some of the poorly mileage you guys are seeing on e85 at WOT. DAMN!! loll I can't wait till i finally get a chance to start pumping some of the corn fuel.
I wonder how much more E85 prices will drop, since we are starting to see premium fuel in the 2.91 area.
One can only wish these prices keep going down. Anyone have any updates on how e85 will be affective (price wise)

I work about 40 miles away from my house so going WOT the whole time wouldn't make much sense. Basically my MPG is a pretty good comparison to my last setup since my driving habits haven't changed much. I am losing about 3-6 mpg compared to my 30r setup on either 91/meth or 100 octane. Also you have to consider that a stock frame turbo will see worse MPG since it spools earlier. I consistently got 22-23 MPG with my 30r. I have no doubt that if I was at WOT all of the time that I would see less than double digit MPG based on how much fuel these 1200's are pumping

    Re: E85 Stations in Socal

E85 prices nationwide have now dipped below $2/Gallon to $1.96/Gallon which is 14.98% lower than the nationwide Gasoline average of $2.30/gallon.Â* In California, as usual, we have not seen the dramatic drop.Â* In fact, while Gasoline has dropped upwards of 60cents/gallon in the last few weeks, E85 has essentially remained static.

    Well Sean
lets all hope for the best on those prices that we have nationwide and make a dramatic change here in cali.. But like always, we get the worst part of things at the end..

    Joe's Circle K/76 Station
    19248 Harvill Ave.
    Perris, CA 92570

I have some disappointing news for us IE forks. I just got off the phone with Joe, the owner of the 76 station. He informed me, as of today 11/4/08, they are 30 days late with the permit and there is no ETA with the permit. After they receive the permit it will take another 90 days for construction.

Figures, the VP station in Ontario probally will be getting it first.

    Re: E85 Stations in Socal

1WkdEvo that is a nice setup. E85 is down to 1.52 a gallon out here and 93-94 oct is 2.06 a gallon. We get the crappy weather and cheap good gas, but you guys get all the sunshine and good roads.
