2009 VW GTI AWD !!!!!!!!!!! Check out THIS SEXY CAR !!

These have looked good for a while and now it appears that they will look marginally better. AWD is an option/package so that's nice as well, but these cars have had quality issues for years.

oh yeah,just curious.Since i have been a vw enthusiast since i was a little kid and have lots of experience building them,fixing etc...what quality problems do they have> german cars are known for their quality all around.take for instance the quality of a basic civic interior compared to a golf.the golf is worlds better.I also think its funny whne people credit hondas with being the first econo 4 cyl tuner cars.Vw was making supercharged corrados and vr6's pushing 180bhp stock since the late 80's.Honda had what? a 120hp crx?

they just threw the scuracco front end on it and called it a day.....would have expected more but it looks like vw wants to start going to that kinda look

the Scurracco took it from the GTI ctually ! almost the same headlights
the GTI was in production way before the Scurraco

GTI's are nice cars
but i hear very expensive to build

actually the scirocco was first it came out in 1976 and the gti came out first year in 1982 for north america

the american 20th anniversary edition gti is year 2003,i had the 25th german anniversary edition (337 gti) and it was an 02

im talking about the new models tho the NEW Scurraco adapted it from the NEW GTI

oh yeah^ thats correct.I love that new scirocco.too bad we dont get it.They have a twin charged version super and turbo charged but its weak.The interior is like ferrari leather. sooo nice!!

Your failure to separate your enthusiasm from fact is frightening. I love my Evo, but I am not so blinded by that adoration that I don't see the faults.

I have owned German cars including Volkswagens and Porsches and I agree that in general they are superior in many ways to certain Hondas or other Japanese makes. That being said, it takes a simple review of Consumer Reports or long term JD Power reports to comfirm that the GTi has long had quality issues that require the vehicle to go in for frequent repairs of issues that should not be issues at all.

As a base investment and long term quality being ignored, I would take a GTi over almost any car in it's segment, but to totally ignore the long term quality issues would not be prudent in my opinion.

You love VW's, great, I have no issue with that, but I was just commenting on what made me not buy a GTi as a DD not so long ago.

im my opinion,it isnt gonna happen.That link you posted has said about 10 different things about the mkvi over tha past months.Also they already debuted the mk6 at the recent auto shows.It had subtle body changes which look hot imo,and it still had a 2.0l fsi turbo,this time with 210hp instead of 200.I also read the very first reveal of it on vwvortex from vw's chief designer and nothing about the 4-motion was mentioned.If it really did happen,almost guarantee it would stay in europe like the rest of the good cars.

i think that we will only be getting the 2.0l fwd version.
