After having my car for 6 years, I have tried a few batterys.* I went to the mini 680 battery from Oddysey:

I soon found that it was a bit touchy if you downloaded logs too much or listened to the radio at all with the motor off, it would run low and it lacked reasonable reserve capacity.* I upgraded to the 925 Oddsey which has 925 cranking amps and a lot more capacity:

Here is the custom bracket I made:
Here are the specs:
PC 925MJT Specs:
925 cranking amps for 5 seconds
870 cranking amps for 10 seconds
765 cranking amps for 20 seconds
Short circuit current over 2400A
28 amp hours
50 minute reserve capacity with 25amp load
With metal jacket and SAE automotive terminals
Length 6.64"
Width 7"
Height 5 7/8"
Weighs 26 lbs
This one has worked well and the car always starts and adequate reserves.* There has however been one issue.* My car has seen a lot of work and been sidelined from time to time.* If the battery isn't on a trickle charger or driven constantly, it gets wounded.* After my recent body work, I found that I lost significant reserve capacity and have had to jump the car after it sat for the weekend.* I did a quick check of alternator current with the ems and it is strong so it looks like I am having yet another 925 Oddessey die.* This will be my 3rd one.* Each time my car was not driven for some time, it has died.
I was going to order another one because it seemed to be the strongest "mini" I have found but then I came across the Braille B121C carbon battery.*
Here are the specs:
B3121C
21lbs/9.5kg
1380 Pulse Cranking Amps
31 Amp/Hr Reserve
6.6” x 5.2” x 6.8"
Right Side Positive
It has a lot more capacity than the Oddessy and is lighter too.* I had heard about the super small Braille's but stayed away because of capacity concerns.* This one is the largest of their Carbon Racing series and relatively new.
Anyone else tried this particular battery?
FYI, I found it on amazon for $170.00 on sale.* It normally goes for 230-250 dollars.* Bottomline, I want the most durable and powerful "mini battery" I can find.
Any first hand experiences with this battery would be appreciated.
