    resale value of the 3000GT

I wanted a 3000 gt for a long time when i was in high school. Now i looked at them for shits the other day and found that they are expensive!!! I even found a stock white one in canada for $30,000 american dollars! Why are the vr-4's so much still?

Heh, I hear ya... I had just got my license back in 91 and wanted one of these since then... I've been looking at them lately too, just for a fun/mess around with car.

I think the guys charging 20k+ are living in a fantasy world where they think they own a supra.Â* Â*

You can get a decent one for less than 10k I think...

Yeah Vr4s are pretty cheap now. Too bad they weren't in fast and furious like the supra haha. PS: The Vr4 is too heavy to really have fun in

I alway liked the vr4, but i ended up with the supra. Vr4 arent that expensive now. You can get them around 10 stacks. Don't the vr4 spyder weigh around 4000 lbs? LOL

I took my friends track 98 VR4 down to willow springs it FREAKN surprised me... he had greedy TI exhaust, 13g Turbo. K&N Drop in filter, MBC, it kept up with most of the cars coming into the corners! i was amazed. what really helpd it out was the 4wheel steering :) i wish our evo's had that.. xD i think we have active yaw control? but only in the jdm version right? but yeah.. i might get a vr4 just to mess with.. a 91-93 VR4 is like 5-8 grand.. a 94-96- a bit more... 10-13 but iwant the 97-99!! so its gonna be more expensive to find a decent one... gotta look on 3SI

Re: resale value of the 3000GT

The 3000 is a great car. It was Mitsu's top of the line in it's day and built very well. I had a 91 SL that went almost 250k miles before being stolen. It needed the engine mounts replaced, the engine banged on every shift so the thieves dumped it a mile away. The car was donated to someone working on a 3kgt project after that. The interior was 7/10 and the body was probably the same before being spray painted. That car was a tank and felt like much better build quality over my Evo. I love my Evo now but I still have pics in my office of the 3k...

The car may seem heavy but with the right combination of parts it can definitely be fast. On mine my buddy and I are shooting for 500-550 awhp.
