Re: Want to trade Carbon Fiber WRX/STI for Evo

"I've enjoyed this quite a bit but really miss my old Evo and regret getting rid of it." Very common thing to hear.

As for the EDFC, it is quite common for either the controller or the actuator units on these to go bad. It doesn't mean the coilovers are bad, it just means you will lack the ability to change the dampening settings through the control unit. Easy fix would be to get rid of the EDFC and just run the coilovers with manual adjustments.

Otherwise a clean looking car. Good luck with the sale and hope you get back into an Evo soon.

Re: Want to trade Carbon Fiber WRX/STI for Evo

Yeah I did...I'll pm you. I dig it and will prob keep it and put the Kenwood back in this unless it's a deal breaker.

JTDec17 - I haven't dynoed it. You can definitely feel the torque-ier 2.5L engine though compared to the Evo. Here's the Stage 2 map the car is running now (Mustang dyno 277whp/316tq on 91): http://www.accessecu.com/accessport/...N91%20v111.pdf

On top of that setup I have the huge fmic and cai so there are more ponies there. Plus all of the weight reduction on the car helps quite a bit in ways that aren't noticable by just looking at numbers. O0

Thats a super nice bugeye!! O0

    Couple questions:
6-speed STi tranny? Or 5-speed WRX tranny?
And are those real Cwest carbon front bumper, grill? Or is it Cwest replica in carbon?
    Thanks!

Thanks. It has the 5MT WRX tranny. Shifts clean, no grinding, feels great. The car was taken well care of and not thrashed on.

With the exception of the seats, everything is authentic. I believe the doors and fenders were some of the first developed, and the C-West stuff is legit. The quality is real nice.

Re: Want to trade Carbon Fiber WRX/STI for an Evo

The Evo I had wasn't making the numbers it should have given the mods. Never found out why and everything always checked out fine but it's the same reason the original seller put it up for sale when I got it a few years back. The tranny on my Evo never went out, it was fine...I just had the common loud deceleration noise that annoyed me to no end lol. It was really loud.
