My name is Sean. I am considering buying myself a 2010 Evo X GSR. I have heard that at 80 MPH, the engine drone is ridiculous because of the 5 MT? Is it really obnoxious? How well does the car block out road noise?

that wouldn't make or break it. im not in it for luxury, i just don't want it to be annoying! loud noise gives me headaches due to multiple concussions...

well im not sure. i had a wrx with a catless tbe and the noise didn't annoy me.
i guess i would just want to find a way to cut out road noise a little bit.
maybe the sss package would be a good idea.

You had a WRX with catless TBE and are worried about the road noise on an Evo X? There wont be a problem except for the shitty gas mileage but then again if you're buying the car for MPG, reduced noise level, and comfort, you're buying the wrong car.

"Quiet" is a relevant term...... Quiet as opposed to what? If you're concerned about "road noise" an your asking that..... The Evolution is NOT for you. Â*Its a noisy car. It was NEVER meant to be quiet and 'luxurious"..... Even "dressed" in the MR Touring package... It will not be MBZ or BMW quiet. If you're looking for quiet..... Get a 350C or 328i... Instead on an Evo.
my evo had tbe 3 inch all the way no resonators. Â*i dealt with the noise cause it was worth it.

Does it make sense to get an evo when u do a lot of freeway driving? Because I read that the RPM's are pretty high when u are at 80mph
i have yet come upon a 80mph freeway
