    where do you go for smog check?

    I am in garden grove and was wondering what's the best place to go for smog check. I still have a forge bov and open element intake..took off my turbo back and MBC..

    Think I can pass with the BOV and intake on?

    Yeah, we need to sticky a list of all the illegal smog places!

    Anyone use the one run by that hillbilly family behind the Albertos in Buena Park. The guy in the office with no teeth on Thursdays is the one to talk to. They will smog anything for $120!

    Who else has a good place? LA County anyone? How about a google map. I can get one going.

    There is a shop in Watts right next to the McDonalds. They will do any car for $150 + a #3 super sized Value meal with extra BBQ Sauce and orange soda. You have to get your certificate in the Men's room of the McDonalds taped to the inside of the paper towel dispenser.

    Listing them is dumb ass ideal! How bout we just use the buddy system lol. Yeah lets also have everyone list their illegal mode while we are at it.

    Here is another idea, take your VIN off your EVO with a pocket knife and then tape it over the VIN on a stock Lancer, smog it, done.
    Oh, and threatening smog techs always works really well.

    I am just asking for a place that's easier on the Visual inspection, since I put my car basically back to stock. I don't know where you guys get the funny idea that I want a illegal smog.

    Oops, I did totally miss read that you didnt want to do anything illegal. Just a little illegal, Not TOTALLY illegal. Like you want us to post up a smog shop that is willing to risk a big fat fine for looking the other way, but not to the point of being willing to go to jail for you.

    You can just go to any shop and show them what's under you hood before you actually sign any papers or do the inspection.....Won't hurt to just ask.

    However, if you fail the sniffer, then that's another story....
