Cordless Impact Guns.....Track Guys, which one do you use?

I have been putting off buying a Cordless Impact gun for awhile.

I really wanted to buy a Snap On Cordless Impact, but at almost $600, its hard to swallow that price.
I am looking for some cheaper alternatives, that still are durable, reliable, and with a decent warranty. What kind do YOU use?

Anyone have any experiences with other brands? Post up your reviews whether its good or bad.

A few other brands who make cordless impact guns:
    1) Bosch
    2) Makita
    3) Ingersoll Rand
    4) Milwaukee
    5) Snap On
    6) Hitatchi

Mods: If this is the wrong section, my fault......just figured its the track guys that use these the most, so thats why I posted in here.

I would just get Snap On, they are known for superb parts. As for warranty, idk. Never had to warranty any of my Snap On tools, lol.

I used a Mikita for awhile and it got the job done just fine. Until ..... Honda Robert came along one day with his Snap On and my impact got PWND

If you can afford it go with the Snap On ...if not the Mikita worked great...just don't forget to charge it the night before...can't tell you how many times I forgot had to charge it via an adaptor in the cigarette lighter while I drove to the track

I was using a Goodyear brand impact wrench. It was cheap, $80 from pep boys. I didn't want to spend a lot of money because I was mostly just going to be using it for lug nuts. It lasted about 3 years of constant use. I went to go buy another one but they didn't sell them anymore. Picked up a Greatneck brand. It has been working fine so far

If you're going to be using it a lot (for more things than just lug nuts lol), Snap On impact wrenches are worth it. My friend has one and it pretty damn nice.

I was at Dr. Gray's house one day. I asked him if i can borrow a cordless drill...

A few minutes he walks out to my car with his regular "corded drill" and a portable gas generator. Then he says "Cordless drill for you".....

    Hmm.....

I have a snap-on, and honestly I dont think there's anything close to it. It's expensive but it's worth every penny.

The new line of MIlwaukee, Makita, and Dewalt impact drivers are quite nice.Â* They aren't unnecessarily heavy as most of them use new Lithium Ion technology.Â* If what you intend on using the impact for is the installation and removal of lugnuts, you should probably look at the Milwaukee or Makita 1/2 impact with lithum ion batteries.Â* They are light but pack a suprising punch.

For something that will not kill your wallet and u will only use from time to time
I would choose the Milwaukee or Makita 1/2 impact gun, there both quite nice and do the job at the track.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Yes, I will mainly be using for lug nuts.
Sounds like the Snap On is the king of the bunch, but with the limited use I need it for, sounds like some of the cheaper alternatives would be suitable enough.

Anyone else, please feel free to add your input. O0

If its something thats going to be toss around or toss in the trunk, dont get Snap On, lol. None the less, you can surely use it for plenty of other things other than just lugs :P

I have a snap on 14.3v guy and it's crazy how powerful it is. has no problem on lug nuts or stubborn suspension bolts. I love this thing. Best tool I have in my collection :)

18V DeWalt are great for the price. We do a lot of heavy duty mobile mechanical work on big rigs and all the mobile crews use the 18V DeWalt impact. Great thing about their 18V batteries are that they can be used with their others cordless accessories. For the money it's hard to beat.

i am also using snap on, you can find some on ebay for cheap but make sure its the 18v ct6850 or 6855... no point in getting the cheap stuff if it cant bust off lug nuts.
