It's not the best thing for your diff. Try letting your clutch out a little slower...
beatrush makes some upgraded bushings that are a little stiffer than stock and pretty close in price. They last longer too. You might want to check that out.

shifting like a man and dumping the clutch O0
but you should look into the diff bushings, there are a couple different companies that make them

I know Ralliart makes some because I was talking to Jeff Denmeade about these in his MEEK EVO that ran Pike's Peak last year. Matt is right though, if you get the right bushings (I think there are 4) for the rear diff, if they are high quality, it should eliminate the diff. slap if it did for the MEEK EVO. I also recommend doing the 4 motor mounts at the same time (2 sides + front and rear). IMO if you do this + the sway bar and the end link bushings, it makes a lot of difference in your set up. I know RRE has the AVID mounts that are lifetime guaranteed. I am only rocking the front motor mount right now with the rear swaybar + upgraded endlink bushings but I do plan to do the diff bushings and the rest of the motor mounts.Originally Posted by HMatt
you guys probably remember this car:
Is the car for street use? Or track only? If you change all the mounts won't it eventually "rattle" the dash off? I noticed a lot more vibration just with the front mount.
thank you for answering,
my car is strictly for street use
actually i am trying to avoid it slaping,
but i was simply wandering if this damages the diffs....
@Hmatt
good to hear that RRE has avid mounts, but i am located in Greece unfortunately... :'(
out of topic question:
all of you upgrading evos, are you still using factory ecu or an aftermarket one?
especially when you adding cams, injectors etc not just TBE and intake.

If it is street only, Angela is right, just go with a front mount and get those diff. bushings. I think in Europe, you can get your hands on the ralliart set easier.Originally Posted by maikcat
As for Tuning, there is a section in here on the different methods of tuning. Most of us on here have ECU flashes. I am not a tuner but from my understanding the EVO can hold 2 maps, so you can have different maps for different fuels and etc... This requires software and cables + a computer and a lot of know how (NOT) to blow your engine.
The stock ecu has been proven on pretty much any engine combination and has been used on setups exceeding 1000hp. There are many tuners that can work with you remotely to tune your car, all you need is a flash cable from Tactrix or Evoscan to upload the rom and do the logging. You would basically do a couple pulls email them your log and they will send you a new rom to upload, wash rinse repeat until your car is dialed in. Its easier to actually have the tuner there, but since you are in Greece your options might be a bit limited.
Fuel is right about the "rattle the dash off" I installed the Ralliart front and rear motor mounts, I did not install the side mounts. it rattles, it gets worse when you have the a/c on and the car is not moving. When you drive, you do not feel the car rattle,it only rattles when you are parked.Originally Posted by FUEL
