    E85 conversion help

So I was looking on the forums (Maybe under the wrong section?) But I couldn't seem to find out everything required for an E-85 swap as well as what i can expect when switching to E85. Any help would be awesome

    Re: E85 conversion help

Azian is correct. We just converted our shop EVO to e85 which shouwed gains of 40 whp and torque. Other Evos that we have tuned have showed even greater gains.

The size of injectors is going to depend on how much power you are looking to make. If you are on the stock turbo 1000 to 1200 cc injectors will be sufficient. The walbro 255 lph fuel pump is good for almost 500 whp but if you are in that area you should already have a built motor or have one ready.

Also if you plan on switching between 91 and e85 a 3 port solenoid to control the levels of boost will make switching very convenient.

So very true. Freeway cruising is good, but when you are doing any kind of spirited driving you'll see the fuel gauge drop rather quickly.

Don't forget Tephra Mod V7.X to switch maps via gas peddle. Or you could use the intercooler sprayer on older evo 8s to change maps or you need to wire in an actual switch to change maps.

Also, maybe having some sort of AFR gauge and/or Ethanol Content Gauge w/sensor for extra security and monitoring capabilities.

+ what everyone else said earlier. :)
