Buying used tires... Do's and don't

I bought one today for 55 because I was in between a rock and a hard place. Paid 55 because people will take advantage of a hard situation. Tire shredded on the freeway less than 2 miles from the shop. Bought a new one from a shop that actually had new decent tires.

This is pretty useless information. Many people buy used tires all the time. It's always good to inspect the tire before buying and knowing what is a good condition tire compared to a shitty tire.

i agree. i have bought more used tires than new, and most of them from a buddy of mine that TRACKS HIS EVO (more than all of you probably drive your evos..) here on this forum, and i have also used the same tire and daily drove on them and tracked on them also, and i have never had ANY problems at all.

I have probably bought and sold over a dozen sets of tires in just the last 5 years, never had a single problem. Buying used wheels on the other hand.....

Used tires are OK as long as they are not too old. You can check the date code on the side of the tire.

I've bought some used tires from members on here never had a problem. I don't know where you bought your tires from but use tires are somewhat reliable !

If you know what to look for, buying used tires is not a big deal. Like anything else you purchase, you need to know how to inspect the product fully in order to not get jipped by a fucked up product.
