Interesting, your test pipe and my AMS fmic cancelled each other out.

Nice numbers. Are you also running a high flow cat or the stock cat?

Yes I do have the high flow cat, forgot to mention that..

To get to the 340-350 mark, what should be the next step for me?

Without going to e85 or bigger turbo that is. I haven't really seen a single e85 station anywhere near me..

Re: 2013 MR tuned at RRE

The following recipe is direct from the RRE master chef.* The info is about four months old, but should still be very close.* As noted, your best bet is to contact the kitchen directly for the most current info.

Basically the way I read the recipe below is that the biggest difference between 320hp and 345hp is the cams.* Roughly $4100+ for all the work necessary to get around the magic 350 hp mark without getting a bigger turbo on an MR and still get finger licking Evo goodness.

Oh yes, using the below recipe, Ernesto, it sounds like the only ingredients you're missing are the cams and downpipe and retune, so an additional $1400 or so out the door to hit your target.

    ----------

RRE EVO X MR Upgrade Path:

A stock EVO X MR is 245 whp on the RRE AWD Dynapack

EVO X MR Super Stock Stage Zero 280-290 WHP

    Drop in Cosworth filter* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * $43 Installed
    Modified Stock Muffler* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *$140 Installed
    RRE 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid* * * * * * $95 Installed
    Dyno Tune* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * $500

    $780

    Headed for 320-345 whp

    Step One 290-310 WHP* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

    Cosworth Drop in filter* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * $43
    Real 3” Cat Back Exhaust* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *$600-$800
    Some kind of cat option* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * $150-$280
    RRE 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid* * * * * * $95
    Dyno Tune* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * $500* * *

    ~$1400-$1750

Step Two 320-345WHP (depending on cams vs no cams, cat vs no cat)
Transmission warranty gets more difficult (much more expensive to put the car back to stock)
    * * * * * * * *
    3.5” ETS FMIC* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * $600
    Upper and Lower I/C Piping* * * * * * * * * * * * $510
    Install FMIC and Pipes* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * $200
    Short DP* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * $190
    Install DP* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *$ 40
    Cosworth or Kelford Cams* * * * * * * * * * * * * *$975 installed
    Retune* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *$200

    ~$2700 Additional

The turbo, injectors and fuel pump are all nicely at their limit.

Very cool, thanks for the info nechronius..

I will enjoy what I have for now, do a couple of track events and then phase 2:)

Re: 2013 MR tuned at RRE

By the way, how does a cam change affect drivability and mpg? Will it still drive smooth? Does it have a lumpy idle? Reliability? Does it require valve spring change after 20k miles?

    Thanks for your input.

No idea what it's like with cams in an Evo, honestly. Someone else will have to chime in with the answer to that question. Speculation would be a slightly lumpier idle with a raspier exhaust note.

Since you already have a tune from them, give RRE a call and ask them how cams would affect your car.* Some people don't even recommend cams on a stock turbo but Mike does for his step two and he can tune for them to be effective.* I have them and my girl told me there are slight idle issues currently (I'm deployed so she took the car to get them installed).* It's going back to RRE when I get back next month and Mike is going to do his thing to smooth it out and for all I know it might not even be due to the cams (having to go through my girl as a relay for info means I don't always get the right details lol).* Also, take a look at my sig to get an idea of what else you might want to get next to get to 340+ hp.* Remember our MR's are always going to come up a bit shorter on numbers than a GSR with the same mods because of our tranny.*

I see that you did the port and polish on your exh manifold, was that a good
Improvement? Who did the work on that?

    Thanks.

Bought it from a guy on another forum who did the job himself. The work was solid. Decent breathing improvement but I will be getting rid of it as I just bought a MAP longrunner to go with my FP Green build.
