I would go with either red, black or some random crazy color like orange.
Re30 are Always nice as well.
Now as far as suspension goes, well I offer an alternative cheap solution since u did consider springs after all.
otherwise I would look into ohlins, kw, motons, or any of those high end brands.

yes it is. i'm currently on tein monoflexes but i'm planning on changing to ohlins dfv's and adjust the height a bit. it's kind of low right now. bronze is kind of low key that's why i went that route either. i was thinking red before but too much attention. i have another set in gunmetal and was thinking of putting those for a change if not i'll just probably sell them.

I'll stick with stock or the Swift minor drop coilovers if anything to reduce the front gap. And even consider putting motons on a daily driver?

I'm trying to address a very simple gap issue and you're throwing out $6000 options at me.

I am curious, how much track time you have and instructions? I see evo drivers out at the track with TONS of mods, and I run laps around them in a 1969 camaro. A stock evo I cannot hang with, nor a stock STi. A heavily modded one all the balance is off and the cars are rarely sorted so the handle worse than stock...

The driver mod > coilovers or any other doodads you can bolt on.

Do you track the car or is it street duty? What made you spring for $2000 worth of coilover vs $300 which accomplish the same thing?

    Just curious...

Yes, I have had my few shares of track days since 03. Till this day, I would recommend coilovers over springs on a DD.
plenty of weekend warriors out there that want a street/track set up. Very few who just settle for springs without ever considering to track their vehicle.

    Too Many!
Best option for wheel gap and not costing TOO much .... Swift Springs and MR Bilsteins... proven over and over again... add a RSB your car will be a lot of fun and lose it's Rally Lift it has going on now. Planning on rolling your rear fenders? The rears look like their going to be rubbing some from your pics.

Why Cobb Access port? Just curious? Seems a few members on here have had some issues with that product? (search)

Just prefer RRE ...but that's just me

It will eventually be a track car. Still in the process of making more power though.

^As Fuel said, the MR Bilsteins plus some springs. Eibach, Swifts, GTworks, have a good track record. There are plenty of people that run them on the track with no issues either. Throw them on with an upgraded sway bar and call it a day.

I just wanted a reversible option for now. I plan on dropping by RRE at some point at which time I may be adding a few goodies. I want to hear the stealth sideways setup in person.

Sounds fantastic on my speakers but I need it quiet for my neighborhood etc...

Don't mean to come across combative guys, I just dislike bench racing. I'd rather get out to the track rather than mod the hell out of my car and 'test' said mods by the seat of my pants. I've seen guys in stock rental cars destroy heavily modded evos. A cadillac, the big one granpa one. The more time you spend at the track the more you realize that throwing money at a car is useless if you cannot push the stock car to its obsolute limit. If you enjoy modding for the sake of it, all good, car shows are your thing.

Its just, recommending coilovers to a guy with a dedicated track car who has said he does not want coilovers is kind of a moot point. I don't need coilovers for enjoying a drive through the canyons.

Yeah the rear does sit low and would definitely require rolling. Then again I rarely have passengers. But I've always said do it right or not at all. I think I'll wait to ride in a car with swift springs or GTworx are closest to OEM with the bilsteins. My neighborhood is east la/hollywood. The streets are NOT like orange county or south bay. We have cracks and pothole that would eat a lot of cars alive on this forum. My 300c was a nightmare to drive around here. In fact I cracked 2 of the 3 piece wheel faces, and bent one CCW outer on the z28.

As I was looking at my car on the rack the other day for the first time I was admiring the amount of sheer engineering into the car compared to something like my z28. It really is amazing.

If its your daily driver, and can't afford to ball it up without writing it off, I wouldn't bother tracking it especially if you plan to dump more money into it.

I'll say it again, seat time aka driver mod is the best mod you can do.

So I've read, thanks! I have noticed a bit of roll. Bilsteins are FANTASTIC. I don't think most evo owners know that they are highly sought out on many car setups!

They are both reversible. RRE will flash it back to stock for free if you ever decide to go that route. If you want to be able to reverse it yourself a cheaper option than an access port is to buy a tactrix cable for $180. Then you get the added bonus of being able to use evoscan to log your car and diagnose faults yourself.

An Access Port may seem cheaper to start since an RRE tune is $400-$500 with a boost controller of some kind installed and the Access Port is under $400. HOWEVER, the base maps that come with it are known to knock on some cars, so you would ideally need a custom tune for it, so you would still need to spend the $$$ on the tune. All things considered, not only is a custom tune cheaper, but it is safer.

Yeah I saw knocking on the 93 tune, 91 tune is clean. I'll get rid of it/sell it (got it used!) when I do a downpipe/intake/exhaust dyno tune. I didn't see RRE was so close! Shit! (thats bad for my wallet!) STOP IT guys I've only got 300 miles on the car hahaha.

But for real its good to know they are so close to me. I thought (was hoping) RRE was farther so I wouldn't end up there! #!@

Guess I'll be checking out their exhaust in person sooner than I thought!

There is usually a car or two around there with a stealth on it to listen too. If you want something with a touch more flow and a hair louder than the sideways, I just saw FUEL has her old stealth exhaust for sale. It would save some $$$ to put towards RRE trips.

I'm not really suggesting coilovers to you dude since it's not advisable to use them on the streets, especially the tein monoflexes since they are very stiff. They are good on the track though. I just posted the picture of the volks because that's the setup that goku said he wanted.
