I know there is probably many diy threads on this, however, I wanted to share the way i did it maybe it can spark up some ideas for other memebers.
Materials.
1/8th inch 3m tape $10
1" tape to mask off inner black peice $5
(2) 1000 grit sandpaper $2 total
(4) 2000 grit sandpaper $4 total
Vans spray tint $30 the vans spray tint is really expensive better alternatives would be VHT night shade or Krylon Stainglass paint for only $10
1 can of clear coat uv resistant $6
razor blade or hobby knive kit
Step 1 take off tails pretty simple no need for pics lol
Step 2 Wet sand with 1000 grit sandpaper make sure its completely dull so the paint can stick very well.
step 3 mask the lines off i looked at pics of the real evo 7 lights for a guide.
Real evo 7 tails (the guide i used to mask them off)

step 4 wipe it down with wax and grease remover or rubbing alcohol. Once dry spray them in a well ventelated area the cleaner the area the less dust in the paint. I used about 5 medium coats (I wanted mine darker than the evo 7 evo 7 are more pink so about 3 coats will achieve the look)
i waited about 6 mins before each coat and i used a hair dryer since it was a little cold make sure its around 75 degrees or hotter
Step 5 let them sit for about 6 hours in the sun or a day whatever is easier. Wet sand with 2000grit sand paper to get rid of some orange peel you can use a flat block dont go to far or else there is a risk of buring through the red paint.
step 6 once they are fully scuffed spray 5 wet coats of clear and enjoy!
(Step 7 OPTIONAL) if they are still orange peely you can wet sand again with 2000 grit and buff it. of course becareful on not sanding to far or buring through with the buffer.
