Glad this thread is here. I was going to go there to get a bumper painted.
I'll recommend picture to have a better inform decision. I think customer experience didn't start smooth as it should. that could cause feedback could be blur...
Sorry but I've worked here at DTM for 3+ years and have never seen something like this happen.
Your original PM to us you specifically inquired about painting the bumper and the side skirts only. You did not notify us until last minute about underboards.
You also never mentioned anything about a paint scheme.
Your opinions are always helpful but, here is some proof to everyone of what really went down.
The PM's on SocalEvo:
Now this is our shop's email conversation with him:
So if everyone that liked this thread that was started by OP read thoroughly through this conversation. OP didn't even know that his underboards came prepainted already and complained to me when we never agreed to painting the underboards. OP's original Pm was to paint Sideskirts and Front bumper paint scheme was never mentioned until last minute. The photos you emailed to us did not even show gloss black underboards.

Although the previous owner of my car got a custom paint job at DTM and the paint looks good, but without good customer service means no happy customers. Thanks for the review.
According to the screenshots of the PM's and E-mails, you did not specifically request the lip and underboards be painted. I can see that being a problem as you want them in black. This was not DTM's fault, as you didn't specify or even mention the lip and underboards in the original PM's.
As for the rest, ie. the shotty quality of service, and the "iffy" paint matching, that would be DTM's problem.
Any pictures of the quality of the paint?
^well the lip is part of the varis bumper. You can never install the lumper without the lip since there was no bottom piece just the lip. The varis came with an underboard everybody knows that except for DTM apparently. Don't put the blame on me bro since the communication is really bad. They never told me till the last minute that the side underboards are not going to be painted because I specifically told LELAND in person before he told me to send that picture that I want the underboards in gloss black as well.
And the picture clearly showed painted underboards. Don't worry kelvin I would never return to your shop ever again bro. After a horrible experience I've learned my lesson.
Also a shop not telling you which was and which wasn't included is bad communication, they wouldn't do anything to orher parts and leave it unfinished because they thought i didn't want them? Nice. That shows your communication bro.
The communication was there and we even let you know that the front center would cost additional and you said that, that wasn't a problem? Don't blame it on our sales guy's Leland explained to you already what the deal was and you nodded your head. In the beginning of the thread someone said that you could have walked away why didn't u? If a customer is unhappy of something before the deal has been made then the customer has the full right to refuse our service...
im still waiting to see pics of the painted front bumper cover.. lol
Diplomatic Immunity.
