    White Smoke?

i have a big problem, the past 2 times i have driven my evo i noticed white smoke coming out the tailpipe when idling. today was the worse out of the 2 times. today there was a huge cloud of smoke. is this a sign that my rings are gone? i also was running e85 and waited for it to go down to the right level before i put 91 back in it but i didnt feel it up, i only put about half a tank in, is that problem too or are my rings gone? any help would be great thanks, i would love to not blow my motor lol.

Do a compression test. If anything, maybe coolant leak (headgasket).

Is this when you start it after it has sat over night or does it do it all the time? How many miles are on it also? Are you having to add coolant also? This will tell us a bit more. If you are having to add coolant you either have a leak or a blown head gasket. If it's blueish white smoke at the start you could have bad valve guides and seals or the rings are shot.

A good way to tell if your rings are shot is do a compression test and if it is low redo the test but shoot a bit of oil in the cylinder first. If it goes up your rings are shot.

i put 91 back in it but i didnt feel it up,

You are supposed to totally feel it up when changing from one to the other. No cheating. It could be a crank case breathing issue. Maybe dying or dead motor. But could also be a dying turbo. Someone that knows turbos can finger the compressor wheel for a good judge of the turbo's health.

Keep a close eye on your oil level for now, drive as little as possible and get the car to an EVO specialist to get a better guess at what might be going on.
