    Evo 8 Misfire?!

I have a 2003 Evo 8 that I've been having some issues with. Recently when going wot my car will hiccup/misfire around 5k-6k. I changed my spark plugs and gapped them at .26 about a month ago because i was having the same issue and issue went away. Well today when giving a friend a ride my car encountered the same problem. I'm not sure if my spark plugs are bad or a coil/ wire problem . Spark plugs are NGK brp7es gapped .26. Car has 108xxx miles. If anyone has any idea i would greatly appreciate the info. Thanks

    Car mods as follow:
    -Aem intake
    -Mbc running 24 psi tune
    -TBE
    -Invidia o2 housing
    -Stock injectors
    -Stock cams
    -Injen Uicp
    -Ets Licp
    -Evo 9 turbo
    -Evo 9 DV

24 psi is a little high for no tune. That is quite the parts list for no tune also...

.026" is a little big too. Tighten it up to .022 and see if that helps.

Yup... Gap to .22, and on the next set, change that 7 to an 8 in the part number.

Update: Car seems to be running great all the way up to redline now that the spark plugs are gapped at .22. Hopefully she stays this way :). thanks again for all the info from everyone.
