    Tomioka Type R Coilovers for Mitsubishi Evolution X

    Tools Needed:
    · 12MM Wrench
    · 14MM Wrench
    · 17MM Wrench
    · 19MM Wrench
    · Screwdriver

    Difficulty:
    3 (1-5)

    Time to Install:
    1 Hour 30 Minutes

    Installation:
    Front –
    1. First remove the front tires, exposing the brake and strut.


    2. Next remove the 2 bolts holding the strut to the control arm.


    3. The strut is now free to remove as the control arm and brake will hang freely.



    4. Remove the Strut By unbolting the strut bolts in the engine bay.



    5. Now reverse the steps above, putting the new Tomioka coilover back in place.


    6. Bolt the coilover in place using the strut bolts in the engine bay.


    7. Bolt the coilover in place using the 2 control arm bolts. The front coilovers are now installed.


    Rear-
    1. Much like the front, start by removing the rear tires to gain access the to strut and control arm.


    2. Next remove the back seats to gain access to the top mounting bolts of the strut.


    3. Remove the bolt holding the strut and control arm in place. The strut will now be free to remove.



    4. Place the new Tomioka coilover in place of the old strut bolting it using the top strut bolts.


    5. Finally Use the existing bolt to connect the coilover to the control arm. Your Tomioka Coilovers are now installed. Put your tires back on and enjoy!
