With the coil over swap at the same time, and especially with the rubber smell, maybe the tire is rubbing on the spring or lower adjuster. Anything from the axle swap would be grinding/rattling/knocking noises. If the aggressive sized wheel/tire combination along with the adjuster being too far down makes the tire rub, that is your problem. Easy enough to spot. Take the wheel off and look for tire all over your new clean coil overs.
To fix it, maybe some combination of flipping the shock to knuckle adjuster over for more space between the tire and shock and then compensate for the camber back with the upper bearing plate adjustment Or spacers.
