Man, kind of heart broken to see ETS manifold cracked. I see that you prefer to go oem style MAP manifold. Any issues with the tune and parts changed?
Yeah man i'm kinda bummed on seeing that the ETS manifold cracked as well. Did you hit them up about that?
The tubular manis are pretty but i've always been a little wary of them....the new one looks pretty burly.
Thanks man! That's the look i was going for lol.
I am too, I didn't think it would crack so soon. Under 10k miles on it and it was BRAND NEW too! I'm gonna change the manifold and the turbo. I'm not sure what the difference in the tune would be by just swapping. I'll be getting a retuned in the coming weeks.
I did, but they only offer lifetime warranty to the original buyer. I bought this from someone that decided to change their setup and was never installed. They said they could only try to weld and see if it could help. I just decided against having to deal with it again and bought the new one. That is definitely one beefy manifold and shouldn't (knocks on wood) crack.
I think the cracks were caused by the blanket installed that captured the heat, so manifold was always hot and no way to cool down. Not sure If the best approach is to install heat gold wrapped tape on the valve cover, and another Isolation on the side of the manifold. In my opinion, it's try to leave the air flown from the hood scoop.
So kind of curious to see MAP manifold on the dyno and impressions from Jon
Nice build $$$
