Yep. The 10/22 is fun man. It's also fun with a scope.
I've shot and owned ARs and I like what they bring to the table (very well known ballistics, ease of use to zero and correct for wind and elevation, user maintainable, etc).
However, they are kind of like an Evo:
1. Lots of aftermarket parts (some good, some bad, some are for show, some are for go)
2. Really fun and accurate if done 'right' (See Rule 3)
3. Follows the same idea of "Cheap, Accurate, Reliable: Pick Two"
4. Ammo is easy to come by (cheap stuff and good stuff)
I "home built" a Polish AK as my first because it's cheap and reliable. I don't need a long gun that can reach out to 200+ yds. Good luck getting an AR (gas or spring impingement) to work more consistantly than an open-bolt AK system when it comes to dirt, grime, wear and tear. Will I get an AR down the road? Yes, as a competition gun but that one will be built for me and will probably cost me close to a set of Ohlins.
Same reasoning behind the G19. The gun will run for a good long time with very few malfunctions even in adverse conditions, junk ammo, and anything else you can do to it.

That's a nice rifle... Me personally I'm not a fan of AK's. And if you use quality parts you can build a really reliable AR. Cleaning and disassembling them is half the fun so I don't mind. I just like the AR how you can change uppers/calibers so easily, how parts are so easily available, and most importantly how the rifle/parts are constantly getting more advanced/better. Just my opinion tho.
I've been building one for years now.... Finally finished too.
340PD is a holy cow best shooting .357. I can hit the target at 7 yards, but you are punished for it. Normally I carry a .38+p load since it is much more practical. With a paddle holster it is a simple to carry and pretty flat. The Glock 27 with mag extender is a little better though. Fat but good, and it handles just like the Glock 22. Easy enough to hit at 25 yards reliably. My USP is my favorite, but there is no way to carry that aircraft carrier of a pistol anywhere.
Yea Ive always like the 340pd. I could only imagine how the recoil is on that. Yea I carry my 442 in a galco pocket holster and it pretty much disappears, an since it so light weight I can even carry it wearing basketball shorts comfortably.
but yea the USP are beautiful guns. I've always wanted one, but I have kinda stopped purchasing handguns/revolvers and started buying more rifles. Some day I'll get one. It's on my list of "guns to own" along with a Glock 19 n Springfield M1a scout squad model

I know he mills em but idk if he has any for sale. I would reccomend buying your own 80% and just paying him to mill them out. He charges like $75 if I remember correctly. It's been about a year n a half ago that I got mine done. But ran into him a few months ago n he told me he was still doing it and was waiting for his 80% to come in. His name is "Roccobro" on calguns. I'll look for his email address n contact him n let u know.
20140923_162616.jpgHeres my g22... also have an old winchester model 12 16gauge shotgun and a 9mm hi point carbine rifle :) People talk shit on the hi point stuff because the handguns do suck ass lol, but ive put about 1000 rounds through my rifle with no issues yet.
