    basically what Macky said.

    non-resonated and resonated test pipes won't cost that much.

    if you have the funds or you can find a used Tomei Expreme for the EVO IX that is probably your best buy!

    I do like the buschur ones my self, huge fan of the espelir exhaust.

    another option you can do and stay stealthy is run a E-Cut out or 3" straight pipe "resonated or non" with a Varex muffler attached. Varex muffler are Electronic as well. when close they direct airflow through the chambers to keep the car quiet, and when open it becomes a full straight pipe.

    I'll need a downpipe also! most test pipes and downpipes for sale are Megan facing. I don't really like their products

    newb question and theres probably a thread for it but since we're on the topic, what's the difference between a catback and turboback?

    the buschur confuses me...apparently there are magnaflow mufflers attached to them. tomei is so expensive and I can't find a used. why are they good?

    catback = engine/turbo > oem downpipe > cat > aftermarket exhaust
    turboback = engine/turbo > aftermarket downpipe > testpipe/straight pipe > aftermarket exhaust

    catbacks start at the cat (catalytic converter). turbobacks include the downpipe and cat (in the form of a test pipe or HFC)

    my favorite brand for downpipes are the MAP downpipes.. great build quality!

    also yes Buschur uses Magnaflow mufflers, same as RRE they use magnaflow as well.

    I like the Tomei Expreme because it's insanely loud with a full exhaust set up.. haha and it looks really nice and build quality is top notch.

    catback= from the "cat" back
    turboback= from the "turbo" back (downpipe)

    do having only a catback as a bolt on mess with the response and feel of your car? I'm not gonna tune until I get full piping

    on the 8/9 it actually improves things, but it is always best to get the car tuned to maximize the potential of the catback.
