Thread: NEW Focus RS coming to the US

  1. #21
Can't wait to see real results rather than claims though i have to say this car has definitely caught my interest.

With the Evo bowing out Ford has really caught into a hot market. Their whole line up has sparked a ton of interest within the community.

well, as much as this looks promising, its probably going to cost at least 40K easy.

if Subaru does decide to bring this one, I would seriously consider this over the RS. not so much because of performance but looks wise. the current WRX/STi does ape the design of the Evo X anyway so this would do it for me.

if you like that have you checked out the outback fourms, sick ass fuck. the new 2014s lowerd on 20x11 vossens looks soooo ill. and they have the option for a flat 6, with lots of options for power most make 260ish with a few bolt ons.

I agree. They brought in the RS just in time. Evo's are going to be phasing out so people are going to be looking for something fast with up-to-date and modern comfort/features.

I'm a huge fan of wagons, no doubt, but this to me is ugly dude. I'd take a bug eye wagon all day but this doesn't appeal to me at all.

I don't know. the bugeye wagon never did it for me. that one honestly is like a hybrid of the Evo X and the Galant VR4 Legnum wagon.

not a ford hater, however I want to know how much boost the RS internals can hold... Mitsu motors hold few more PSI than the stock, but not sure if we can take ST as reference. I friend of mine is close to 270 on his ST, but the tuner was mentioned that the ST could hold too much boost. is the RS a good platform to mod as the STI or the Evo?

haha damn, Iono, this doesn't seem compact enough. I know this one isn't a bugeye but I've always gone back to this.

the A pillar split window mirror thing looks like a prius on that whole platform, it's such a travesty because otherwise the shape isn't bad at all.

I like the car and the history going back to the original RS, and will definitely intrigue the performance market, especially since the Evo is going out. But I kind of like it.

apparently, but who wants a FWD car like this when there will be the RS. Even if it came here I d be at the Ford Dealer. Gotta Love Honda how they tease the US market tough.

Looks like it has shark gills now as well.

Waiting in anticipation of the Focus RS. I recently test drove a Fiesta ST and it as a hoot... really fun and capable car. I opted not to purchase since i am waiting anxiously for the RS. Reviews thus far have been stellar. What do you guys think?
