Question: Ralliart vs Evo X GSR Differences

    Hey Guys,
I'm planning to buy another Evo, an Evo X. I'm considering a 2010 Lancer Ralliart. So far, all I have found with respect to the differences between the Evo GSR and the Ralliart is this(from Wikipedia):

"For 2009, the Ralliart is available exclusively with the TC-SST transmission,[21] although Mitsubishi has suggested the possibility of a 5-speed transmission at a later date. The TC-SST transmission equipped in the Ralliart offers 2 modes (Normal, Sport) rather than the 3 modes the same transmission offers in the Lancer Evolution X MR (Normal, Sport, S-Sport). The car also includes a simplified version of the Evolution X's AWD system, with a simple "mechanical limited slip" rear differential.[22] Best 0–60 times, 5.3 for sedan and 5.4 hatchback."

A little more research, indicates the Ralliart has a smaller turbo. Is that correct?
Also, it looks like the ECU can be flashed to get the S-Sport trani goodness.

    How about the body/chassis?

Besides the obvious, wheels, etc, what other differences are there?

btw, sorry if this has already been answered! I did a search on the forums and couldn't find anything on this topic.

    Thanks in advance!

    Sean

its not the ECU that is flashed to get the S-Sport mode. iirc, its the transmission control module.

The Ralliart is basically a Lancer GT with an Evo 9 powertrain, Evo X engine with a smaller turbo and intercooler, and SST.

these videos would be helpful. he's comparing the RA hatchback, but the sedan is the same:

Hmmm you couldn't find anything else online???

Evo X Ralliart does not exist..

A Lancer Ralliart is somewhat equivalent to a WRX..

Look for 2011+ Ralliarts...I believe the Timing chain was beefed up a bit.

    Suspension is a extremely different.

X wide body. RA lancer body.

There is so much more...I suggest researching a bit more...

    try www.clubralliart.com

"The Ralliart version was launched again in 2007, this limited edition for Lancer Evolution X is exclusively tuned by Mitsubishi Ralliart Japan equipped with 5 speed manual transmission, Ralliart RA04 Wheels 18 inch forged 1-pieceblack aluminum sport wheels paired with Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08 tires. Aerodynamic parts include a newly designed carbon fiber front underspoiler, hood air dam, and front bumper air intake duct, and the intake and exhaust system has been tuned to get the best out of the engine."

The chassis difference makes it a non-starter for me. Thanks guys!

yeah. just go for the X. sure you can make the RA as fast as an Evo X. but the starting platform has a ways to go before you even get to the performance level of a stock X.
