Awesome work. I'm jealous. You have one dedicated team. Great program. Better smash my 1:47 time and go after Professional Awesome

Finally a good thread on SCE, wish you guys luck this season and ill be waiting for more updates!
You have a cool car sir!!
Here is a short clip of some oversteer fun testing last year at BRP when we were still dialing in the KW V3's. Way too much body roll that day amongst other issues. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tkU...ture=autoshare
Someone caught us on film pulling hard (fast foward to :41 seconds): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfso8iDwego

quick cameo of the 48 lap that Mr Carson put down in traffic
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfso8iDwego
More to the point, the video helps put things into a context that helps me digest things a bit better. The lap times say everything you need to know, yes BUT... I used to have an NA8 miata...130 bhp. My friend has a turbo NA6 that's right around 200whp. I've spent time driving both. Given they are around 2250-2300 lbs and the exocet is significantly lighter with significantly more power, more suspension, more tire, i'm thinking it moves pretty good. And the Evo made it its bitch, and it looked easy.
I'm curious what the race weight is w/o driver?
I spoke with the owner (nice guy) that day and they are still dialing in the car. He said the power to weight is 6:1 and he thinks sub 1:50 no aero once sorted. I personally think that is overly optimistic unless they crank up the power, but then you will probably mess up the balance of the car. He told me 270whp, not sure why video shows 230? At 270whp 6:1 that would put them around 1630 lbs w. one driver. Seems about righty if 1850lbs is with two drivers. The owner is a bigger guy. From what I hear, the suspension gemoetry on the Excoset is not as good as the factory Miata just yet.
The reason we pulled away so bad is the fast spooling turbo (EFR 7670) you can see when I hit the gas in cotton corners how I immediatly create a gap, plus all the corners after that are aero corners where my cornering speeds are much higher. They actually have a better power to weight ratio than us.

When did you do a 1:48? At a test day after SLB?

I think it was a Extreme speed event. None competition Day

What is the weight? 2600?
Is it as light as it will get?
It's not quite that light but we have some things coming in that we will post to thread as it comes in and gets installed. We hope to post weight differences on them. Our goal is to get the car under 2500 but probably won't happen with all the support that is required for the aero.
For SLB we were about 2950 to 3000 pounds with driver with the aero all mounted on and having to add about 5 gallons more gas since the surge tank welds failed.
