    4 inch ETS intercooler

So I have a 4inch ETS intercooler but I've been thinking and I think I want to go smaller like a 3 inch ETS but I'm not too sure if I just need to replace the whole piping or can I just swap out the intercooler instead without dealing without any of the piping.

And also, would going from 4 inch to 3 inch affect me my performance dramatically or just keep it the same?

A bigger core can create additional lag. Especially on the stock turbo.
It all depends on the actual design of the core.
If you're currently on the stock set up, you shouldn't see any lost gains from switching to a smaller FMIC.
If both FMiC have the same design to fit stock piping. U shouldn't need any additional
    hardware.

I'm getting ready to order a 4" ETS did you notice any noticeable lag with the 30R?

Well, to be honest.. If you are running a bigger turbo with over 30 PSI you wouldn't but my turbo kicks in like 4.5k to 5.5k....
