This would be suitable and compete with the new Fiesta/focus awd 303hp

that was an old concept that was circulating a couple years back.
the way I see it, its possible mitsu would approach this in a few ways -
>a sedan-based performance car much like what the Evo had always been, or...
>a sporty crossover like the juke, so it would be more like the size of the current Outlander Sport...
>or a hatch hybrid like the Veloster
those would make the most sense because they can platform share base equipment like they have always done with the Lancer Evolution with other mainstream models. that will give them the flexibility to use one global platform, build multiple vehicles from it and only make slight changes to transition from a plebian lancer or outlander sport variant to an "Evolution" type model.
with that method, mitsu can market the "Evolution" not just as the car itself, but might possibly span a range of sporty vehicles kind of like Nissan has Nismo.

we hope for the best and at least have something new coming. I like to see a lightweight Evo AWD turbo again.. but maybe is not as easy as in the past
As the years go by, I love my '03 evo 8 even more.
2.3 Manley 10.5:1 Pistons, Manley Turbo Tuff Rods, ID 2000, BR dbl pumper, AMS IC, FP black, Muellerized/GF Suspension.
I hate mitsu they need to just stop at this point..
I dig the Mirage Evo. Much like how Ford has the Focus and RS3 mitsu can easily follow suit.
I would buy the shit out of a Mirage Evo, throw in a few WRC wins in there too while they're at it.
Makinen thought even CT9A was too bloated, so I'm totally down with the Mirage regardless of how goofy it may look. I just want a car that goes hard, I don't care about anything else.
I'd pay goddamn 50 grand for a clown-ass lookin Mirage with Evo X AWD system and a toughened up 4B11 reversed to face the correct way. I guess that should be my retirement project some day, the real Evo 11.
As someone else posted elsewhere, here's a better concept idea for the Evo 11:

P.S. The car in the article is ugly as hell.
