they should of had this in this production, like 8 years ago.

TBH, if I think about it, I think the K-hybrids are faster this car is gonna be anyway. it will be shinny and new and have a warranty though. I doubt its gonna be any faster then whats coming out of the MOD community now.
at least we can say they are opening their ears to their costumers finally.
If they can keep it reasonably priced, they might have the most hailed civ since the b18
The B18 was never in a Civic... Atleast from the factory.
This will be a very hot car when it debuts and i'd expect quite a high dealer mark up on top of the $40k+ MSRP.
It will sell and it will sell well considering Honda has such a huge following both in the tuner community and also the general community.
+1 iirc it was the B16 (160PS) motor in the Civic SI(USDM)/SiR(Asian market). the 1.8 engines were all Integra engines by default.
exactly. it will be batshit expensive. the Mugen Si was almost as expensive as a base GSR at one point. this would price right at the 39K mark guaranteed. if they somehow make it at 30K it will sell like hotcakes.
that said, there will be a market for it no doubt. the main rival would be the Focus ST as the RS would be a whole different animal, more akin to the STi/Golf R. Ford's smart though - with the ST and RS, like Subaru they essentially cover the low and mid enthusiast market.

Ya it will sell no matter what. 30-40k$ civic hahaha fuck that !! At the end it's a fucking civic !! But that's my opinion.
I'm not a fan of civic.
People are now guessing $35k+ for the Type R wonder what the Focus RS is gonna be going at.

that thing is UGG_LEE, then I think about it wing less and I think egg.
if they can make this 27-30ish there will be a war on the streets, WRX Vs civic-R it will be westside story with turbos.
what will the new base civic engine be?
dam evo used to rule, now we gonna have to be e85 tuned just to keep up. these cars RS, and golf are gonna be 400ish cheaply, and now the civic-R will be running nutz on the older evolutions. in stock for stock form the evo will loose to any of the new cars coming out.
I think it looks all right. The front end is nice, and the interior isn't too bad. The rear is the only thing I don't like about it. It looks to be a definite competitor. However, 35k for it seems a bit ridiculous.
keep in mind if it is $35k the nice Honda dealers around here will mark it up to $45k just because they are thinking first time ever and limited low production numbers.
Not a huge fan of FWD turbo, but if anyone knows how to make FWD play ball it's these guys. That thing is gonna be a fast as shit civic. And therefore, i'm down. Plus the interior is wild. A nice breath of fresh air for ho-hum Honda.
I like the rear. That's what caught my attention first and automatically zoomed in on it. I'd rather get the new focus though
