    Has anybody tried these?

The 311RS-Specific brake pads by Girodisc? I'm thinking about ordering a set and wondering if any of you guys has tried them yet?

I plan to give these a try. I'll put up a review once I've had them on for a bit.

I had the opportunity to use Girodisc Magic Pads for a bit on the street and at the track. I wasn't impressed in either situation. I was at least expecting them to be good on the street, but they didn't have good initial bite or offer much brake torque.

Girodisc makes some nice stuff, so i imagine that they probably have some other compounds that are decent.

I currently have the Magic Pads too and I totally agree, I am not impressed. They ARE quiet and virtually no dust, but that's about it. I experienced fade very quickly during spirited driving on them. That's why I'm looking to upgrade to either the S/S or these 311RS-Specific pads that Ryan Gates is selling. I haven't found anyone that has tried the 311 pads yet, so I'm thinking of giving them a shot. He says they are a special compound and fall somewhere between the S/S and the ST43s with user friendly wear characteristics and street/light track versatility. If Gates puts these on the 311RS cars I'm sure they gotta be decent pads.
