    2015 Evolution Final Edition
Back in 2013, my RSX Type-S got stolen.

    Here's a pic with 18" Volk GT-U

After the RSX, I've been driving a beater for DD. Last month, I convinced the wife to get an Evo.

I was going to get a 2015 GSR base. I went to see Sam Smash from South Coast. He wanted $35,800 + $3K mark up + TTL (so $38,800 + TTL) for a 2015 GSR base. My estimated payment will be $680 for 72 months. They wanted 50K for their Final Edition. I walked away.

After a few days, I went and search at Autotrader and found a Final Edition listing from El Cajon Mitsubishi for below MSRP. Gave them a call and the rest is history. My payment is below $680 for 60 months, so I think I got a decent deal.

Wow, how times have changed. I remember when they took over the Evo sales world when they were selling them pretty much below invoice, as advertised in their forum posts on both EvoM and here. Then the pricing disappeared... I understand them marking up the Final Editions (and on the two new/untitled Evo IX MRs that they keep in the showroom), but I'm surprised that they are doing it even to GSRs.

I glanced at their website, and it looks like they have no shortage of Evos. Most have the "call for pricing" label, though it looks like a few of the Evo X MRs have an internet price that's around $2,000 under MSRP, though I'm guessing those particular ones are probably among the oldest of their 2015 inventory. Back at their old location that they recently moved out of, I remember somewhere more than ten Evo X SEs stashed in the back for YEARS, though they're listed, and at close to $3,000 under MSRP, as they're probably not banking on selling those at huge markups anymore, maybe because they know that banks may not approve of loans that high for a car that old. (That to me was my favorite of the various Xs throughout the years, pricing taken into consideration as well.)

It's been 4 years since I got the car. I installed Ohlin's coilovers, VOLK TE37 Bronze in 18x10.5, MARS tail lights, APR vortex generator, WK cage shifter, ETS V2 quiet exhaust.
Engine is still stock, I have an AEM intake in the garage. I'm waiting to pay off the car before I mod the engine. I still have 5 months left of my loan.
