Mishimoto problem

I believe this is the right place to post my problem, if not please let me know.

I ordered a Mishimoto radiator and fan for my Evo 9 as the oem radiator started leaking at the seal just like everyone else. I paid for overnight shipping and the vendor did a great job getting it to me quickly. The box was undamaged when it arrived, but the radiator inside was defective from the factory. The top of the core is warped about an inch to the left of the bottom.

The vendor is trying to reach Mishimoto to get a replacement, but they are non-responsive after multiple calls. Does anyone have a contact at Mishimoto who might be able to help. It is a daily driver, so I am stuck until I get a replacement. Thanks.

This is normal for Mishimoto.

Megan Racing actually does a good job on their radiators. $200 and in stock. The world is a better place and goes a lot smoother when people buy EVO parts from local companies from local EVO specialists.

I work in online parts sales....
My suggestion would be to go see RRE and get that radiator in so you can get your car back. That's a hell of a price, and they are good guys over there.
Contact the Mishi vendor and arrange a return with prepaid shipping label and refund. Sucks man, sorry to see that.

I had issues with mishimoto rad before. In my case, it leaked from the filling cap neck. I recommend submit your request on Mishimoto website for warranty. you just need proof of purchase. Now, they challenge will be get a refund. Maybe if you paid using a credit card, you can get some help from the back to request a refund, other they'll claim warranty policy for them change the radiator. that lead to the easy option to get a replacement and sell it

When my stock radiator leaked on my IX, I took my car to RRE and they installed the megan racing radiator on my car. I never had a problem after that while I owned my IX, great product and great one day service from RRE.

Hey Mike this may be a stupid question but. How does Megan Racing radiators compare to say Koyo? Is it worth it to spend the extra $120-150 on a Koyo? For a car that is just a tuned daily driver?

Dude, it's a radiator. Like I said in my post, never had problems on my IX and my car was a daily driver, 360whp.
