    Clean Culture Santa Anita

Anyone going to be there this Sunday or showing their car? I think I'm going to head over to shoot stuff and wanted to shoot some Socal Evo members as well.

I didn't end up making it over, my car is still in the shop and then the gold line ended up not running further than South Pasadena.

Seems like there are a few of us... maybe...

I decided to keep my 9 rear, but I will have the full 7 front and wing. Thanks, I can't wait until it's all done too, feels like it has taken forever.

Mine has been at the body shop about 3 weeks now, but this year it has been down a lot in general as I've been having little things sorted and also chasing down oiling issues with my turbo.

Haha yes... it's a FP Red dual bb with the MHI housing. I didn't have issues with it until I went to e85 on a built motor. I think there's just a ton more crank case pressure so the oil return rate is likely impeded with only using the stock valve cover vents.

The reason I ask is because I had a friend running a FP Black a few years ago that he had a dispute with FP about the oil issues with the turbo.
I actually have the FP Red with the SS housing and was just curious.

All the ball bearing FP turbos that use the MHI housing and the older CHRA are prone to pushing oil past the seals. It needs to be addressed by making sure you have a restricted oil feed to the turbo and then making sure there is nothing impeding the flow of the return line and that crank case pressures are under 0.25psi, which in my opinion is extremely low. That's why most guys running the Red or Black have to resort to increasing the vent sizes on the valve cover massively.

Are the newer stainless Reds coming with the billet center? I don't know anyone personally running one yet, so I'm not sure if they are as sensitive to the things mine is.
